ORTHODONTICS

Occlusal (closure) problems, crowding in teeth, irregularities and growth problems in adult and children (disorders of the face skeleton) are comprehensively treated in the Department of Orthodontics.

In our clinic, besides the standard methods (panoramic, cephalometric film, joint graphies) the following advanced diagnostic methods are used:  

- CBCT (cone beam computed tomography), 

- 3D mouth scanning 

- Simulation programs evaluating 3D data 

Treatments applied in our clinic:  

Orthodontic treatment in children; 

  • Protective orthodontic treatment with spacemaintainers 
  • Interceptive orthodontic treatment with habit breakers 
  • Treatment of dental problems and maxillary mandibular constrictions in the early period with removable appliances, growth direction in the early period with face mask, headgear, removable functional appliances,
  • Orthodontic treatment during adolescence: Fixed orthodontic treatment (standard metal brackets, clear / ceramic brackets, self-ligating brackets), growth direction with fixed functional therapy, 
  • Treatment in adult and young adult patients: Fixed orthodontic treatment (with standard metal brackets, clear / ceramic brackets, self-liagting brackets), orthognatic surgery, treatment of cleft lip and palate, treatment of sleep apnea,
  • Temporomandibular joint treatment  
  • Trauma splint application 
  • Retantion 
  • For patients who have aesthetical concern about the appearance of the wire and brackets:   Lingual orthodontics, Clear aligners (Invisalign)
