ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery exerts the diagnosis, treatment and treatment of oral and maxillofacial diseases as well as the reconstruction of edentulism and tissue deficincies.

Maxillofacial region pose a significance since the pathologies related with the teeth and surrounding tissues carry the potential risk of spreading adjacent tissues or organs easily due to the complex anatomical proximity of the maxillofacial region. Besides, the symptoms of many systemic disorders that originate from other tissues and organs might be emerge in oral tissues. Therefore, an immediate diagnosis and an eligible treatment of oral pathologies are needed to be carried out seriously regarding for the benefit of both oral and systemic health, and for preventing undesirable tissue loss.

Dentoalveolar surgeries (preprotetic surgery, alveoplasty, etc.)

Rehabilitation of bone or soft tissue deficiencies with tissue suplements and surgical techniques

The diagnosis and the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders

The treatment of the jaw fractures
