Oral and maxillofacial radiology department is the first examination of the patients who applied to our hospital. Correct diagnosis is very important for the optimal treatment of patients. In this section, first examination of the patients is done and it is investigated whether there is a health problem and systemic discomfort that will pose a risk in dentistry applications. Apart from tooth and gum diseases, the temporomandibular joint, salivary glands, diseases affecting the tongue and palate, the diagnosis of diseases related to the mouth, cheek and lip are also included in the department of mouth, dental and jaw radiology. Radiological and laboratory tests are required if necessary. Intraoral examination, clinical findings and x-ray results are evaluated and treatment planning of the patient is arranged and referred to the relevant departments.
